KCYAS

Recruitment for the 5th Korean Cultural Youth Ambassadors Society

In January 2022, the Korean Cultural Youth Ambassadors Society, affiliated with the Korean Society of British Columbia, was established to "volunteer for the Korean community and promote Korean culture." Based on recommendations from officials at the Greater Vancouver School District, 33 high school students (Grades 8 – 12) residing in British Columbia, Canada, were selected to begin activities. As of February 2024, approximately 70 students actively participated in the 5th term of KCYA, engaging in various volunteer activities for the Korean community and local society.

KCYAS plans to conduct diverse activities to promote the excellence of Korean culture in local communities, the province of British Columbia, and throughout Canada, as well as to positively contribute to the status of Koreans and the national image of Korea.

We ask for the interest and love of the Korean community and leaders so that KCYAS can continue to develop steadily with the increasing Korean community.
