Recruitment for the 6th Korean Cultural Youth Ambassadors Society
KCYAS (Korean Cultural Youth Ambassadors Society) is a non-profit organization established on March 1, 2022, under the BC Vancouver Korean Association. The organization is led by youth and university students with Korean backgrounds in the BC Vancouver area, aiming to promote Korean culture and empower Korean students in the community. Its key activities include supporting Korean cultural clubs (K-CLUB) in local high schools and universities, providing various volunteer opportunities, and collaborating with Korean community organizations to strengthen the Korean cultural presence.
KCYAS aims to help the next generation of Korean Canadians develop a strong sense of identity and grow into globally-minded individuals who can contribute to society.
We ask for the interest and love of the Korean community and leaders so that KCYAS can continue to develop steadily with the increasing Korean community.


Roles of KCYAS
Planning seminars related to youth and attending events
Support for activities of Korean organizations
Volunteering in the local community
Performing arts and musical performances
Activate k-club
Writing and managing content for the Korean Association website and social media
Inheritance of Korean traditional culture

KCYAS 6th Activity Period

January 1, 2025 ~ December 31, 2025 (extendable at a later date)

Volunteer hours: Maximum 150 hours (based on 12 months of activity)

Selection Target and Criteria
-
High school students (Grades 8-12) residing in Vancouver, BC, Canada
-
College students living in Vancouver, BC
-
Students who are honest, responsible, and keep their promises
-
Students who are interested in community service
-
Students who are interested in Korean culture and history

Recruiting Areas
-
Reporting, article writing, social media/website operation and management
-
Performing arts (dance, instrument playing)

Administrative work (document writing, email sending, data organization, accounting data organization)

Issuance of a certificate upon completion of activities by organizing activity history and volunteer hours

Selection of outstanding students, awarding certificates, and issuing recommendation letters based on contributions to the community
